Ann Ross

Background : Ross works part-time as an administrative assistant for Agrispect, a flower shipper in Vista. She lives in Oceanside with her husband and their one daughter.

Volunteer title : Ross is an Information Coordinator at the Acura Classic. She is responsible for the volunteers that staff the Acura Classic information booth during the tournament. She also helps sell tournament programs and draw sheets as well as staffing the lost and found department.

Numbers of years as tournament volunteer : The 2006 Acura Classic will mark her 10 th year as a tournament volunteer.

Favorite Acura Classic memory : During the 2004 Acura Classic, Belgium's Kim Clijsters hit a tennis ball into the stands following one of her matches. Ross caught the ball and later had it autographed.

Favorite tournament match : Ross' favorite Acura Classic match was a 2000 quarterfinal encounter between Monica Seles and Sandrine Testud. Seles pulled out a thrilling 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (5) victory. “It was awesome. It was so exciting,” Ross said.

Favorite tennis player : Kim Clijsters. “She's friendly and she doesn't give up on the court,” said Ross.

Favorite food: Italian food.

Favorite place to visit : Ross enjoys visiting Disneyland.

Favorite TV show : Wheel of Fortune. “I like game shows,” she said.

Favorite hobby : Playing tennis.

Favorite movie : Love Actually, a romantic comedy starring Hugh Grant.

Favorite musical artists : Tina Turner.
