It will be an incredible day (and night) of tennis action on Thursday at the 2007 Acura Classic. Top seed and defending champion Maria Sharapova will play the third match of the day session on Stadium Court, which begins at 10 a.m. Sharapova will take on Tatiana Golovin of France in a third-round match. These two players have met on four previous occasions with Sharapova winning each time. Following the Sharapova/Golovin match, fans will get to watch an all Swiss match-up as two-time former tournament champion Martina Hingis faces compatriot, Patty Schnyder. These two players from Switzerland have split their four head-to-head meetings.
Leading off the night session at 7 p.m. on Stadium Court, former three-time Acura Classic champion Venus Williams will play her third-round match against Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia. Williams has won all eight of their previous head-to-head meetings.
