Seventh-seeded Martina Hingis won the first 14 points of her second-round match against 18-year-old Michaella Krajicek of the Netherlands and looked like she was headed to an easy victory.
Instead, the tour veteran from Switzerland ended up with a tough fight on her hands before pulling out a 7-5, 6-2 victory.
