King and Vandeweghe Highlight Kids’ Day at the Acura Classic
It’s going to be a great day of tennis at the Acura Classic as Kids’ Day kicks off the action in the main draw. While many kids will take part in numerous off-court activities during the day at the tournament, two other kids will take center stage on the court.
Seventeen-year-old qualifier Vania King of Long Beach will play the second match of the day on Stadium Court as she plays Emma Laine of Finland.
Fourteen-year-old wildcard entrant Coco Vandeweghe of Rancho Santa Fe will be in action on the Grandstand in the third match of the day against Kateryna Bondarenko of the Ukraine.
Later in the day, King will make another appearance as she teams with fellow American Ashley Harkleroad for a doubles match against the wild card team of Biffy Kaufman and Lindsey Nelson. They will play the fourth match on the Grandstand.
